The internet provides great opportunities, not only for increased economic growth and employment in Europe, but also for child development and learning. However, many parents are concerned with their children's safety when they are online.
On February 11, which is the international Safer Internet Day, Euranet Plus asked EU Commissioner Neelie Kroes, responsible for Europe's digital agenda, what the EU is doing in order to make sure kids are safe on internet.
Although Commissioner Kroes thinks the EU could do more to increase internet safety for kids, she thinks that at the end of the day it's the parents responsibility.
