The Syrian crisis, uncertainty in Iran, the hardening of Russian politics and African destabilization are all new threats that could justify the need for a strong European defense complementary to NATO. For as much as 75 percent of Europeans, building a European defense force is obvious. Yet it is far from being realized. Europeans countries are not in ranks. Some speak loudly in favour, some mostly want to remain independent and others want to keep their neutrality. But in these times when money is scarce, wouldn't a genuine European defense achieve significant savings and perhaps even increase efficiency? Or is defence a too important part of national sovereignty, regardless of so-called inefficiencies? Let the Euroballs give you the facts.
